While most people were snoozing, traveling or cooking, several members of the Sun Realty team woke up early to “Gobble.” The Outer Banks Gobbler 5k was held in Nags Head on Thanksgiving Day 2009. The “turkey call” took place at 8:00 am and feathers started flying at 9:00 am as the Gobblers began to pound the pavement. Over 250 people came out to walk, run and “trot” from West Sea Chase Drive to Links Drive in Nags Head, NC. The out-and-back road course took the Sun Realty Gobblers through the scenic neighborhood of The Village of Nags Head. Both Outer Banks locals and vacationers took part in this fun community event.

In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, non-perishable food items were collected for local food banks. As in other parts of the country, Outer Banks’ food pantries are facing shortages during this time of need. The entire Sun Realty Team would like to thank these charitable organizations for their hard work and dedication.
