If you’re headed to the Outer Banks to celebrate Labor Day and bid farewell to Summer, it’s going to be a great weekend!

The surf reports indicate small swells, meaning conditions will be fairly safe to enter the water. However, always check with a lifeguard before entering, just to see if there’s anything to be concerned about. The Outer Banks has endless beaches with free access and parking, and some of the most incredible sunsets and sunrises. Beach'n Blues Festival
Outdoor Pavilion, Roanoke Island Festival Park. 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Bringing the best of a variety of styles of Blues music and artists that will get your toes tapping! Check website for participating artists. Bring your blankets, chairs and dancing shoes. Food and beverages, including beer and wine are available. Red Wolf Howling Safaris
Learn more about red wolves and to experience a howling! Meet at the designated time at Creef Cut Wildlife Trailhead. Pre-registration is required.Flashlights and insect repellent are recommended. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Open For Climbing

Located in Buxton, North Carolina on Hatteras Island.
Climbing fees $7 adult, $3.50 for children under 12 and Senior Citizens. Ticket sales begin at 8;15 am. Climbing begins at 9 am and runs every10 minutes limit 30 visitors per day. Sales close at 4:30 pm.
