This free, family event is set to be held on September 19, 2009 at the Hatteras Village Waterfront.  The day brings local families as well as visitors together on the Hatteras waterfront to celebrate Hatteras Island’s Watermen.  Commercial and charter fishing boats and commercial fishing gear will be on display at the event.  Other activities include; concrete marlin net hanging and mullet toss contests.  There are also games for the little ones, including; kids fishing contests and blue crab races.  Also the popular chowder cook-off and seafood cooking demonstrations will take place throughout the day.
